Bush Balo, MD, MPH, CCRP, CCRA has extensive experience in the clinical research field. From 2022 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at American Gene Technologies International Inc., where they developed operational documentation such as Clinical SOPs, developed study-specific Case Report Forms, Informed Consents, and Clinical Monitoring Plans, conducted site visits, monitored investigator sites to ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, FDA CFR 21 guidelines, and sponsor protocols, aided in the development and maintenance of the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) across multiple sites and multiple subjects, and prepared and submitted Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) site and study level submissions. From 2021 to 2020, they worked as a Project Manager at U.R.A Resource Center, where they developed high quality products geared towards bridging the gap in public health knowledge and career. At Military Hospital Lagos, they monitored and documented adverse drug reaction of patient taking antiretroviral medications, managed an average of 150 outpatients and 20-25 in patients per day, including maternity ward, performing physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment, created awareness on HIV/AIDs and mental health disorders, treated childhood illness, maternal illness, mild mental health disorders, educated traditional birth attendants on performing screening for HIV and diabetes for improved mother and child health, and trained 50 community health workers from 9 health centers across the state on maternal and child health to achieve a 30% increase in visits to antenatal clinics. At Nigeria Army Reference Hospital, they prepared and monitored patients pre- and post- surgical procedures, assisted during minor and major surgeries and molded casts for patients with broken bones, worked with the hospital's Harvard PEPFAR unit to co-manage HIV/AIDS patients, monitored drug adherence, phase 4 documentation of adverse drug reaction, managed over 110 patients with Tuberculosis at the hospital's direct observation center (DOT), designed for TB patients, managed maternal and childhood illness, data collection and recording of newly diagnosed HIV patients for hospital's PEPFAR clinic, monitored drug adherence and analyzed first line treatment failure, and recorded adverse reactions of HIV patients for PEPFAR.

Bush Balo, MD, MPH, CCRP, CCRA, has a diverse and comprehensive educational background. Bush obtained their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Olabisi Onabanjo University (O.O.U.) between 2001 and 2010. Bush then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of New England, which they completed in 2022. In 2019, they obtained a Clinical Research Associates degree from CCRPS, and in 2022 they obtained an Advance Clinical Research Associate degree from CCRPS. Additionally, Bush Balo holds certifications in ACRA, ECFMG, GCP, and Project Management.
