Heather Butscher has a diverse work history, with experience in the non-profit sector, education, and social work. Heather began their career in 2007 as a Foster Care/Adoption Coordinator at Spaulding for Children, where they worked until 2010. Heather then became a Parent Education Supervisor at the same organization until 2011. In 2011, they transitioned to CCISD as a TTIPS School Social Worker until 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as the Director of Program Services, Public Health Region 11 at March of Dimes. Following this, they held the role of Maternal & Child Health Director at March of Dimes Greater Houston from 2015 until 2023. Currently, they are the Vice President of Health Strategies for the Greater Houston region at the American Heart Association.
Heather Butscher received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2004. Heather later obtained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston in 2007, specializing in Social Work.
