Matt Rountree has more than 20 years of work experience in various roles. Matt began their career as an Advertising Manager at College Heights Herald in 2001 and worked there until 2005. From 2004 to 2005, they also worked as a College Instructor at Western Kentucky University. In 2005, they joined The Courier-Journal as a Marketing Communications Manager, where they managed the brand image of multiple print and digital products. In 2011, Rountree moved to the American Heart Association, where they held several positions, including Communications Director and Senior Director of Communications, Marketing, and Sponsor Engagement. Currently, they serve as the National Senior Lead for Staff Effectiveness and Strategy Integration at the American Heart Association. Matt'sresponsibilities have included developing and implementing marketing and communications plans, building media partnerships, and organizing events to promote the organization's programs and fundraising activities.
Matt Rountree obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising & Marketing from Western Kentucky University in 2003. Matt pursued further education and earned an MBA in Marketing from the same institution between 2003 and 2005.
