Julio Barron,M.S.

Julio Barron, M.S. has a diverse work experience starting from 2013 to the present. Julio worked as an Associate at The Home Depot from May 2013 to August 2014, followed by roles as a Diversity Enrichment Program Intern and McNair Scholar Program participant at the University of Oklahoma from August 2014 to May 2017. Julio then served as a Teacher at Santa Fe South High School from February 2018 to October 2019 before transitioning to the role of Police recruit/Police Officer at the Oklahoma City Police Department from January 2019 to October 2019. Julio also worked as a Student Success Advisor at Oklahoma City Community College from October 2019 to August 2021. Julio then joined Zovio as an Enrollment Services Advisor III from October 2021 to February 2022. Julio'smost recent position is as a College Success Coach at the American Indian College Fund, starting from February 2022. In addition to their varied work experience, they also served in the US Army as a Military Police from February 2017 to February 2023, transitioning into the civilian life as a Veteran.

Julio Barron, M.S. has a Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Grand Canyon University, which they obtained from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they pursued a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Oklahoma College of Professional and Continuing Studies.

In their undergraduate years, from 2012 to 2017, Julio Barron acquired two bachelor's degrees. The first was in Criminology, and the second was in Spanish Language and Literature, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Before attending the University of Oklahoma, Julio Barron obtained an associate's degree in Science from Oklahoma City Community College from 2011 to 2015.
