Michael Holt is a seasoned materials engineer currently working at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration since November 2024. With a strong leadership role as Co-Chair of the Structures Committee on Standards at AIAA since January 2020, Michael also served as Chief Engineer at Physical Sciences Inc. from April 2023 to November 2024. Previously, Michael had an extensive career at Virgin Orbit from January 2018 to April 2023, holding several key positions including Manager of Materials & Processes, Principal Engineer, and Lead Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Virgin Galactic and as a Materials Engineer at Lockheed Martin spanning from June 2003 to February 2016. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans, earned between 2001 and 2007.
