Carin Cain is an experienced illustrator and medical communicator with a diverse portfolio in both scientific and medical illustration. With a career spanning over two decades, Carin currently serves as a contract illustrator for the American Physical Society and the American Institute of Physics, as well as the Illustration Editor for Annual Reviews. Since 2005, Carin has owned The Art of Science, specializing in medical illustration. Previous roles include serving as a medical illustrator at Cogent Legal Graphics and Krames Patient Education Solutions, and as a scientific illustrator for Science Magazine/AAAS. Educationally, Carin holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Fine Art from the University of Maryland.
