Alexandra Marken has a range of work experience in research and education. Alexandra started their career as a Reading Tutor at America Reads from September 2009 to June 2010. In 2011, they became a Group Leader at the YMCA, working there until March 2013. Alexandra then joined the Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory as a Research Assistant from May to December 2012. Alexandra continued their research career at the American Institutes for Research, starting as a Research Assistant from March 2013 to March 2015. From April 2015 to March 2019, they worked as a Research Associate at the same organization. Currently, Alexandra is a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, starting in April 2019.

Alexandra Marken has an education history that includes a Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016. Their field of study during this time was Language and Literacy. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Framingham State University.
