Angie Whistler

Research Assistant at American Institutes for Research

Angie Whistler's work experience includes their current role as a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research, which they started in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant and a Writing Center Consultant at the University of North Texas from 2018 to 2021. Angie also served as a Student Editor and Research Assistant, a Teaching Assistant, and an SGA Senator for the Honors College, among other roles. In 2020, Angie founded and served as the President of the Coalition for Civic Empowerment, and they also worked as a Democracy Fellow at the Campus Vote Project, a Campus Organizer at Battleground Texas, and a Research Intern at Dare to Run, Inc. Additionally, they were a Texas Civic Ambassador at the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life and a Certified Swim Instructor and Pool Manager at Aquatots Swimming.

Angie Whistler received their Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in History and International Studies from the University of North Texas. Angie pursued their education at the university from 2017 to 2021.
