Anna Sanderson has a diverse work experience in the research and program management fields. Anna most recently worked as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Research Analyst at 2M Research from October 2019 to March 2022. Anna also served as a Grant Program Manager at AccessLex Institute from December 2018 to October 2019. Before that, they worked as a Specialist in Quality Control and Compliance at NeighborWorks America from September 2016 to December 2018. Anna has also held roles at The Pew Charitable Trusts, ICF International, and Children's Defense Fund, where they gained experience in data analysis, policy research, and program support. Their work experience spans from 2013 to present.

Anna Sanderson completed their Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 2009 to 2013. Anna then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at George Mason University, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Anna is enrolled in an online training program on Trauma-informed care offered by The National Child Traumatic Stress Network, with a projected completion date in 2022. In addition, they are pursuing studies in Equitable evaluation at California State University - East Bay, with an expected completion in 2021.
