Chanel Brown

Research Associate at American Institutes for Research

Chanel Brown has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Chanel started in 2016 as a Policy Fellow at the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) organization. In 2016, they also worked as an intern at the Taylor County Democratic Party and as a Teaching Assistant at Abilene Christian University. In 2017, they became an Americorps Vista at the Academic Success Program. From 2018 to 2019, they served as an Americorps Vista at CHILDREN AT RISK. In 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Community Engagement. In 2020, they had two roles concurrently: as a GLO-CDR Intern at the Texas General Land Office and as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. Currently, they are a Research Associate at the American Institutes for Research starting from July 2021.

Chanel Brown completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Abilene Christian University, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. Chanel later pursued a Master's degree in Public Affairs at The LBJ School of Public Affairs, from 2019 to 2021.
