Chaunté White, PhD, has extensive work experience in the field of research and policy analysis, with a focus on education and gender equity issues. Chaunté is currently a researcher at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), where they conduct mixed methods research on K-20 education policy, specifically addressing racial equity in Black educational outcomes for teachers and students. Prior to their role at AIR, White was a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR), where they conducted and published research on policies supporting parenting students' access to and success in higher education.

White's academic background includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Houston from 2016 to 2020.
