Colton Currah

Technical Assistance Specialist at American Institutes for Research

Colton Currah has a diverse work experience. Colton began their career as an Asset Protection Manager at Meijer, where they maintained the safety and security of retail stores and collaborated with store leadership to address areas of improvement. Colton also partnered with law enforcement agencies to build cases for retail theft. Later, Colton joined Progressive Insurance as a Managed Repair Representative, where they wrote accurate estimates for damaged vehicles and negotiated with auto body shops. Colton prioritized providing excellent customer service throughout the claim process. Most recently, Colton worked as a Research Associate at the American Institutes for Research. In this role, they conducted research on restorative justice conferencing and assisted in data collection and management. Colton also conducted interviews and facilitated family group conferences as a certified restorative justice facilitator.

Colton Currah completed their Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology from Northcentral University, starting in 2020 and finishing in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, starting in 2015 and completing it in 2016. Alongside their education, Colton Currah also obtained additional certifications, including "Project Management Foundations: Risk" from LinkedIn in July 2022 and "Restorative Justice Facilitator" from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School in December 2016.
