David Blumenthal

David Blumenthal had extensive experience in the field of education and workforce development. David started their career at the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center in 2007, working as a Detention Officer for eight months. In the same year, they joined the Center of Workforce Innovations as a Workforce Associate and worked there for four years.

In 2011, David joined the American Institutes for Research (AIR) and held two roles within the organization. Initially, they served as a Research Associate, where they provided professional development and technical assistance for early warning systems to identify and assist at-risk students. David conducted trainings, developed materials, and supported project planning and implementation. After four years, they transitioned to the role of Researcher at AIR, continuing similar responsibilities but also contributing to qualitative research and analysis for higher education evaluation programs.

Throughout their career, David demonstrated expertise in education, research, and project management, with a focus on improving student outcomes and college and career readiness.

David Blumenthal holds a Master of Science degree in Public Service Administration from DePaul University, which they obtained in 2010. Prior to this, they earned a Certificate in Public Administration from Indiana University Northwest in 2008. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis from Duke University, which they completed between 2000 and 2006. In addition to their formal education, David Blumenthal received certification in Project Management Foundations: Risk from LinkedIn in July 2022.
