Elizabeth Chagnon

Research Associate at American Institutes for Research

Elizabeth Chagnon has a diverse work experience. Elizabeth started their career as a Trained Tutor at UMD Writing Center in September 2011 and worked there until February 2013. In January 2012, they also became a Resident Assistant at UMD Department of Residential Life, a role they held until May 2014. Elizabeth then joined the Department of Transportation Services at the University of Maryland as a Training Assistant from March 2013 to June 2014. In May 2012, they began working as a Researcher at UMD Psychology Department Dream Lab and stayed there until May 2015. Elizabeth also worked as a Certified Caregiver at Home Buddies, DC from August 2014 to January 2015. Elizabeth'smost recent role is a Research Associate at the American Institutes for Research, which they started in January 2015 and continues to hold.

Elizabeth Chagnon obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, where they also pursued Women's Studies. Elizabeth completed their undergraduate studies from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they earned a Master's degree in Public Health from Temple University, which they attended from 2017 to 2019. Elizabeth also acquired additional certifications, including Motivational Interviewing from t3 (think. teach. transform.) in 2016, Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Maryland in 2015, and Trans* Advocate and Rainbow Terrapin Network Member from the LGBT Equity Center at University of Maryland in 2013 and 2012 respectively.
