Emma Cohen has a diverse work experience in the field of education research. Emma began their career as a Researcher Intern at the American Institutes for Research in 2018, where they conducted quantitative analysis of data and provided expert reviews of research projects. Emma then joined Indiana University Bloomington in 2012 as an Education Researcher and Sociology PhD Candidate, during which time they also served as a Research Assistant and Associate Instructor. Emma had the opportunity to be a Co-Primary Investigator for a graduate student stress and coping study. In 2020, Emma returned to the American Institutes for Research as a Researcher and was promoted to Senior Researcher in 2023.
Emma Cohen earned a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities from Washington University in St. Louis from 2005 to 2009. Emma then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Sociology at Indiana University Bloomington, completing it from 2012 to 2014. Emma continued their education at Indiana University Bloomington, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sociology from 2014 to 2020.
