Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning Specialist at American Institutes for Research

Janet Sale has a diverse work experience starting from 2011. Janet worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at American University, supporting a professor in research on audiovisual technology for second-language learning. From 2013 to 2016, they served as a Program Associate at Centro de los Derechos del Migrante, where they supported cultivation efforts for a migrant legal services organization. In 2010, they worked as an Assistant Office Manager at Premier Process, Inc., where they managed client files and trained staff. From 2017 to 2020, as a Senior Program Coordinator at the International Youth Foundation, they designed and managed Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems for initiatives in Latin America focused on youth workforce development and education reform. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at the Pan American Development Foundation, where they designed and managed MEL systems for initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, they hold the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist at the American Institutes for Research.

Janet Sale has a strong educational background in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Janet obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from American University in 2013, specializing in Spanish & Latin American Studies. Janet also earned a Graduate Certificate in Spanish Translation from the same institution during the same time frame. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Towson University, where they studied from 2008 to 2011.

Furthermore, Janet Sale has a High School Diploma from The Bryn Mawr School, which they received in 2006. Janet also participated in a Spanish Language Immersion Program at Centro de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural (CLIC) Sevilla in 2004 to further enhance their language skills.

In addition to their academic achievements, Janet Sale has obtained a certification in Adaptive Project Management from PM4DEV in April 2020. It demonstrates their proficiency in this area and adds to their qualifications.
