Jennie Law, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jennie began their career as the National Communications Coordinator and Legislative Liaison for the Residence Hall Association at Stony Brook University from 2005 to 2007. Following this, they served as a Legislative Intern for the United States Congress in NY-18 under Nita Lowey in 2010. In 2011, they worked as the State Relations employee for the American Red Cross and later transitioned to the role of Senior Case Manager at the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society, where they led the Community Transition Team and coordinated clinical and social service delivery.
Continuing their career in the public sector, Jennie Law became a Public Policy Fellow at the Center for Women in Government and Civil Society in 2013. Jennie collaborated with executives from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to improve access to health data and ensure quality metadata for public use. Following this, they enrolled at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at Albany from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, specializing in Public Administration and Public Policy Analysis. Finally, they attended the University at Albany, SUNY, from 2013 to 2021, where they completed their doctoral studies and earned their Ph.D. in Public Administration, further specializing in Public Administration and Public Policy.
