Catherine Wood

Catherine Wood is a Senior Research Associate at Veris Insights. Prior to their current position, they served as an Audience Research Specialist at the National Gallery of Art from August 2018 to September 2020, and as a Guest Experience Representative at Pacific Science Center from March 2017 to March 2018.

At the National Gallery of Art, Catherine collaborated with museum educators to design and execute evaluation initiatives for approximately 25 programs annually. Catherine developed research protocols and instruments for programs serving families, educators, interns, and general visitors, and used diverse research methods (including online and paper surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations) to identify successes and opportunities for improvement within Gallery programs and exhibitions. Catherine efficiently cleaned, coded, and analyzed large sets of qualitative and quantitative data to ensure accurate reporting, and clearly communicated research findings through written reports, data visualization, and presentations, leading to program modifications and improved outcomes for participants. During their first few months on the job, they efficiently and thoroughly analyzed and reported on a year’s backlog of survey data to enable the start of new projects.

Before their time at the National Gallery of Art, Catherine served as a Guest Experience Representative at Pacific Science Center from March 2017 to March 2018. In this role, they were responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, handling ticket sales, answering guest questions, and assisting with guest inquiries.

Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington.

Catherine Wood has a Master’s Degree in Museology from the University of Washington with a specialization in Museum Evaluation. Catherine also has a Bachelor of Arts in Art Catherine'story and Archaeology and Religious Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. Catherine has a Diploma from Buckingham Browne and Nichols High School.

They work with Mansi Joshi - Research Senior Associate, Chelsea Schein - Director of University Recruiting Research, and Nadya Teneva - Premium Research Senior Associate. Catherine Wood reports to Aaron Franklin, Vice President of Research.
