Jill Battal has extensive work experience in the field of education and research. Jill is currently working as a Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Boston Public Schools, including Assistant Director, Office of Special Education from December 2020 to March 2022, CBHM Data & Research Coordinator from January 2015 to December 2020, and School Psychologist from April 2013 to December 2020. Jill also worked as a School Psychologist and School Psychology Intern at the Denver Public Schools from May 2012 to March 2013 and August 2011 to May 2012, respectively. Jill also gained experience as an OSEP Research to Practice Intern at the U.S. Department of Education from May 2011 to August 2011. Jill started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado from August 2007 to May 2011 and as a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research from December 2006 to August 2007.

Jill Battal earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Continuing their education, they obtained a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, attending from 2007 to 2012.
