Kamal Middlebrook

Researcher Intern at American Institutes for Research

Kamal Middlebrook has a diverse range of work experience in research and academic roles. Most recently, in 2022, they worked as a Researcher Intern at the American Institutes for Research. Prior to that, in 2021, Kamal served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Modern Meta-Analysis Research Institute and the Meta-Analysis Training Institute. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the Renken Lab, where they worked until 2020. Furthermore, from 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Urban Child Study Center. In addition, Kamal had experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at iWrite from 2017 to 2018. They also held the position of Research Assistant at the Culturally Relevant Computing Lab from 2015 to 2017. Prior to their research roles, Kamal worked as a Residential Safety Representative at Morehouse College Office of Housing and Residential Life from 2014 to 2015. They also gained experience as an MTR Camp Counselor at the Memphis Teacher Residency in 2013. Finally, in 2012, Kamal worked as a Student Intern at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Kamal Middlebrook pursued their education in a chronological order. From 2013 to 2017, they attended Morehouse College, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology. Subsequently, they enrolled at Georgia State University from 2017 to 2022 to pursue a higher level of education. During this time, Kamal completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Psychology. Additionally, in August of 2022, they obtained a certification in Learning Airtable from LinkedIn.
