Namita Tanya Padgaonkar has worked as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA from September 2016 to June 2021, where they earned their PhD in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program. Namita Tanya focused on studying how symptoms of anxiety affect the lives and brains of adolescents. Before their time at UCLA, Namita worked as a Research Assistant at the UCSF Department of Neurology - Mission Bay from February 2014 to August 2016.

Namita Tanya Padgaonkar completed their education journey with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Neuroscience & developmental psychology from UCLA, from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Molecular and Cell Biology; Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2011 to 2015.
