Nora Gannon-Slater has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nora'smost recent position is Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, starting in April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Analytics Consultant, beginning in August 2019.

From November 2019 to March 2022, Nora served as the Managing Director of Student Outcomes Data and Reporting at Teach For America. Before that, they were the Director of Performance and Data Analytics at Breakthrough Schools from August 2016 to October 2019.

Nora also worked at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University as a Data Strategist and Strategic Data Project Fellow from October 2016 to September 2018.

In 2014, they held the position of Evaluation and Research Coordinator for the Elk Township, Delsea Regional, and Franklin Township School Districts. During this time, they focused on evaluation, research, data, and teacher and leadership development.

Prior to their district role, Nora was the Lead Researcher for a Spencer Foundation Research Project from January 2013 to April 2015. Nora also worked as an Independent Consultant for Research, Evaluation, and Statistics from April 2008 to July 2014.

Earlier in their career, Nora was a Research Analyst at the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment from June 2012 to May 2014. Nora also held various roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, including Instructor, Conference Planner, and Project Manager/Teaching Assistant between August 2010 and December 2013.

Nora Gannon-Slater has a strong educational background in psychology and educational psychology. Nora earned their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2006. Nora then pursued further education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they completed their Master's degree in Educational Psychology in 2008. Nora continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in 2014.
