Paula Dias has a comprehensive work experience in the field of research. Paula started their career as a Qualitative Researcher at Indiana University Bloomington from 2005 to 2009. Afterwards, they held the roles of Ethnographer and Qualitative Researcher at Brown University from 2010 to 2017. Subsequently, they worked as a Research Associate in International and Public Affairs at The Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University in 2017. Currently, they are employed at the American Institutes for Research, where they began as a Qualitative Researcher in 2018 and is now a Senior Researcher as of April 2022.

Paula Dias obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology and French from Indiana University Bloomington in 2009. Paula then pursued further studies at Brown University, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Anthropology from 2009 to 2011. Paula subsequently continued their education at Brown University, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anthropology from 2009 to 2017.
