Qi Xing, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of education research. They started their career as a Specialist in Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007 and worked until 2010. Subsequently, they joined the Carolina Center for Educational Excellence as a Program Manager and Administrative Assistant from August 2012 to May 2013. In 2013, Qi Xing became a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Center on Scaling up Effective Schools until May 2015. They also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute from June to August 2014. Qi Xing further expanded their research skills as a Research Intern at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction from May to August 2015. From August 2015 to July 2017, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Education Policy Initiative at Carolina. Currently, Qi Xing holds the position of Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, where they started as a Researcher in June 2017.
Qi Xing, Ph.D. obtained a B.A. degree in French from Beijing Foreign Studies University from 2002 to 2006. They then pursued an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2006 to 2008. Their educational journey culminated in achieving a Ph.D. in Education Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which was completed from 2012 to 2018.
