Rebecca Shipan has a diverse range of work experiences. Rebecca started their career in 2014 as a Linguistics Teaching Assistant and Linear Algebra Grader at Pomona College. In 2015, they worked as a Syntax Research Assistant at Pomona College and then as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at Claremont McKenna College. Rebecca later joined the University of Michigan in 2016 as a Research Assistant and also worked as a Linguistics Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2017, they joined Education Nationale as an English Language Teaching Assistant and also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan's Center for Political Studies. Finally, in 2018, they became a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research.

Rebecca Shipan pursued their education chronologically, starting with their Bachelor's degree in Linguistics at Pomona College from 2013 to 2017. Following this, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Education from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained their Master of Arts - MA degree in International Education Policy Analysis.
