Sandeep Shetty

Sandeep Shetty has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Sandeep most recently worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the American Institutes for Research starting in January 2022. Prior to this, Sandeep held the role of Senior Research Economist at IMPAQ International for almost a decade, from July 2013 to July 2022. In this role, they conducted research using econometric techniques and contributed to survey design and data analytics for various domestic and international studies. Sandeep also worked as an Instructor & Teaching Assistant at The University of Arizona from January 2009 to May 2013, and as a Research Assistant at CRISIL from April 2008 to July 2008. Their responsibilities at CRISIL included maintaining databases of fiscal and macroeconomic indicators and generating data reports. Sandeep began their professional career as an Analyst at MF Global starting in February 2006 and ending in April 2008.

Sandeep Shetty obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai from 2001 to 2003. Sandeep further pursued higher education at the University of Arizona, where they completed their Master's degree in Economics from 2008 to 2009. Sandeep Shetty continued their studies at the University of Arizona and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from 2008 to 2013.
