Selin Gökcesu

Senior Editor Psychology Content Expert at American Institutes for Research

Selin Gökcesu has had a variety of work experiences throughout their career. Selin began their career as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University in 2001 and worked in this role until 2007. Following that, they became a Visiting Assistant Professor at Hampden-Sydney College from 2007 to 2011. Selin then joined the American Institutes for Research as an Editor from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they were promoted to Senior Editor and Psychology Content Expert at the American Institutes for Research in 2015, where they have been working since.

Selin Gökcesu pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University from 1995 to 1999. Later, from 2000 to 2007, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology and Cognitive Science at Indiana University Bloomington. Lastly, Selin Gökcesu obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Writing-Nonfiction from Columbia University, attending from 2013 to 2015.
