Shannon Madsen Keuter has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shannon began their career as a Research Assistant at Hunter College in 2002, where they gained valuable research skills. In 2004, Shannon moved on to become an Administrative Assistant at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. After a year, they transitioned to the UCLA Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing, where they served as a Research Associate from September 2005 to February 2007. Shannon then joined the American Institutes for Research, starting as a Research Associate in March 2007 and eventually working their way up to the positions of Research Analyst and Senior Researcher. Shannon remained with the company until the present, continuing to contribute their expertise in the field.

Shannon Madsen Keuter has a strong education background with a focus on mathematics and linguistics. Shannon attended Pomona College from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Shannon also pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Linguistics from UCLA from 1999 to 2002. Shannon further enhanced their educational qualifications by earning another Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education from UCLA in 2005 to 2006.
