Timara D.

Timara D.'s work experience starts with their role as a Substitute Teacher at Guilford County Schools from September 2013 to June 2014. Timara then worked as a Special Education Teacher at Triad Math and Science Academy from July 2014 to June 2017. Concurrently, they also held the position of a Teacher at UCP of Central Florida from August 2017 to June 2018. In 2019, Timara worked as an Intern at ThinkCollege for three months. Following that, they joined the University of Central Florida as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from May 2018 to August 2019 and then as a Graduate Teaching Associate from August 2019 to August 2021. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Research Associate at the same university from August 2020 to January 2022. Timara also interned at the U.S. Department of Education from June 2021 to August 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Researcher Intern at the American Institutes for Research since April 2021, and they hold the position of a Researcher starting from January 2022.

Timara D. has a strong educational background in special education and teaching. Timara earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, graduating in 2014. In 2015, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree with a focus on Special Education and Teaching from Western Carolina University, completing their studies in 2017. Building on their previous degrees, Timara recently completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Special Education and Teaching at the University of Central Florida in 2021.
