Divisional Human Capital Business Partner at American Institutes for Research

Victoria Geis has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Victoria began their career as the Director of Human Capital Consulting at CBIZ, where they re-energized and led a new business line focusing on HR consulting services. Victoria then moved on to MetaMorphix, Inc., where they served as the Vice President of Human Resources, overseeing organizational and leadership development, talent attraction and retention, team building, and employee relations. Their role at MetaMorphix also included consolidating the company's human capital in the Canadian subsidiary and advising on the recruitment of renowned talent for the Scientific Advisory Board.

After their time at MetaMorphix, Victoria joined The Auburn School as the Director of Admissions and interim Human Resources Leader. Here, they played a key role in the growth and recruitment efforts of the school, developing a cost-effective and expandable benefit program. Victoria also exceeded enrollment goals by tripling the enrollment at the Silver Spring Campus in the first year and initiated strategic relationships as part of outreach.

Following their tenure at The Auburn School, Victoria worked at Ogilvy Public Relations as the Interim HR and Recruitment Manager. In this role, they discovered, recruited, and engaged remarkable talent while creating avenues to develop direct relationships with future candidates. Victoria also served as a coach and internal HR consultant.

Before joining the American Institutes for Research (AIR), Victoria started their own consulting firm called Victoria Geis Consulting LLC. Here, they specialized in transitions and organizational development, advising leadership on sustainable solutions to challenging people issues. Victoria also focused on connecting children with specialized needs and their families with the right schools and specialists.

Currently, Victoria is working at AIR as a Divisional Human Capital Business Partner. AIR is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit institution that conducts research and provides technical assistance to address urgent challenges in the U.S. and around the world. In their role at AIR, Victoria utilizes their expertise in human capital to support the division and ensure effective HR practices are implemented.
