Yasmin Shemali

Yasmin Shemali has a diverse range of work experience. Yasmin began their career as an intern at the Office of the Public Defender in Maryland in 2015. Yasmin later interned at the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2017. In 2016, they served as an intern at the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth and also worked as an Assistant Campaign Coordinator at the University of Maryland's Maryland Public Interest Research Group. In 2019, they became a Post-Baccalaureate Researcher at the University of Maryland's Department of Psychology and a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research. Their most recent role was as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland Culture Lab, where they worked from February 2020 to September 2020.
