Janet Besso Becker

Janet Becker joined AJC to implement the organization’s Strategic Plan by introducing new technologies, eliminating siloes, reducing inefficiencies, providing clarity regarding purpose and goals, and increasing productivity. She took on the Human Resources portfolio in 2012. Earlier in her career, she was Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank; Vice President and Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning at The CIT Group; Senior Director for Human and Organizational Development and Director of Operations at Synergos, an international development nonprofit; and Consultant at Upshot Advisors. Between her corporate and nonprofit careers, Becker and her husband owned and operated a fine-dining restaurant in the Caribbean. She has a B.A. in Fine Arts and Sociology from Brandeis University.
