Joy Hall has a diverse work experience in the field of health education and outreach. Joy is currently the Director of Outreach and Strategic Partnerships at the American Kidney Fund. Prior to this role, they worked at AARP as an Associate State Director of Community Outreach, where they managed volunteer programs and led outreach engagement activities in Maryland. Joy also served as a Women's Services Health Educator at LifeBridge Health and as a Program Coordinator at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health- Urban Health Institute. Additionally, they worked at Susan G. Komen and Baltimore County as a Community Health Manager and Public Health Educator, respectively. Joy has extensive experience in organizing programmatic initiatives, advising and educating community members, and coordinating outreach activities to improve health outcomes.
Joy Hall attended Morgan State University from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Education. Following that, they pursued further education at Towson University from 2009 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Science, specializing in Community Health.
In terms of additional certifications, Joy Hall obtained a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) certification from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc in October 2021. In March 2015, they also obtained CPR certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
