Agnes Chong is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in non-profit management and community advocacy. Currently serving as Vice President and Secretary on the Board of Directors at the American Muslim Community Foundation since June 2017, Agnes has a strong academic background, holding a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) from Stanford Law School, where the dissertation focused on the impact of counter-terrorism measures on Muslim community organizations post-9/11. Prior roles include Operations Director for the Lawyers in the Library Program, Chairperson of the Australian Muslim Civil Rights Advocacy Network, and Programs and Outreach Director at the Council on American-Islamic Relations - San Francisco Bay Area. Agnes also served as a Solicitor and Policy/Education Officer at the Consumer Credit Legal Centre (NSW) Inc. and holds degrees in law and communications from the University of Technology Sydney.
