Michael J. Castine III

Dr. Castine represents the AON Advisory Board Executive Committee from Hematology/Oncology Clinic in Baton Rouge, La. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La., and completed his internship, residency, and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

A native from New Orleans, he moved to Baton Rouge in 1999 following training. Dr. Castine is Board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. His practice centers around the treatment of all cancer diagnoses, as well as, the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the blood such as anemias and clotting disorders.

Dr. Castine has volunteered time in the community as the president of the Louisiana Oncology Society for three years. He also serves on various local hospital committees and is a member of several local social and charitable organizations.
