Scott Middlemist, OD, serves as the Chief of Optometry for Kaiser Permanente Colorado Region since March 1996, overseeing optometry and optical operations across numerous locations in Colorado. With experience as a staff optometrist, Scott provides comprehensive vision care to members in the Denver metro area. In addition to current roles on the Membership Development and Multidisciplinary Practice Committees of the American Optometric Association, Scott holds the position of Immediate Past President and District Captain for the Colorado Optometric Association. Previously, roles included Colorado Ambassador for the American Board of Optometry and optometrist at Mayfair and Ponderosa Vision Clinics. Scott completed an optometric residency at Hellerstein and Tessler and holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology-Computer Science from Regis University.
