Patient Care Project Vice President at American Pharmacists Association

Katherine Reynaldo has a diverse range of work experiences. Starting in 2021, they were a Future Physician Leader at UC Riverside School of Medicine, where they conducted a community health project on the effects of nutrition deficiency on anxiety. Katherine also served as a Research Assistant in the Life Events Lab at UCR School Psychology Program, assisting with coding tasks and conducting on-campus research studies.

In 2022, Katherine began their involvement at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, where they held multiple roles. These included being a Student Ambassador, guiding potential students and promoting engagement through planning events. Katherine also served as an RXperience Representative, contributing ideas and networking with other students. Additionally, Katherine served as the Historian for the Class of 2026, documenting events and creating a social media presence.

In the same year, they joined the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, where they acted as a P1 Representative, facilitating communication between the class and board members. Katherine later became the President Elect of the organization.

Katherine also gained experience as a Pharmacy Intern at Riverside University Health System, collaborating with pharmacists, providing patient education, and facilitating communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

In 2023, they became the Patient Care Project Vice President at the American Pharmacists Association and joined Phi Lambda Sigma as the Secretary/Historian.

Prior to these experiences, Katherine was involved with Pre-Health Shadowing, attending virtual shadowing sessions to gain exposure to healthcare professionals. Katherine also served as a Member Engagement Specialist at UECC AmeriCorps.

Throughout their work experiences, Katherine has demonstrated a commitment to healthcare, leadership, and community outreach.

Katherine Reynaldo's education history begins with their high school diploma from Valley View High School, which they obtained between the years 2013 and 2017. Katherine then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Following this, Katherine enrolled at Loma Linda University from 2022 to 2026 to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD).

In addition to their formal education, Katherine has obtained several certifications. In November 2022, they achieved the certification of Pharmacist [Intern] from the California State Board of Pharmacy. In October 2022, they obtained the Stop the Bleed certification from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. In September 2022, Katherine received the APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification from the American Pharmacists Association. In May 2022, they obtained the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. The earliest certification on record is the Trained Mentor certification, which Katherine achieved in October 2020 from Mentor Collective.
