Brett Hewitt

Assistant Vice President, Federal Government Relations at American Property Casualty Insurance Association

Brett Hewitt has a diverse range of work experience in the field of government relations and policy advising. Brett began their career as a Policy Analyst and Legislative Assistant for the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs in August 2010. Brett served in this role for four years until November 2014. Following this, Brett worked as a Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Federal Insurance Office from November 2014 to July 2016. Brett then transitioned to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security where they served as the Director of Congressional and Public Affairs from July 2016 to January 2017. Most recently, Brett took on the position of Assistant Vice President of Federal Government Relations at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association in February 2019.

Brett Hewitt attended the University of Connecticut from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
