Dr. Nathaniel Granger

Dr. Nathaniel Granger, Jr. has a diverse work experience. Dr. Nathaniel served as the President of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 32 Society for Humanistic Psychology from 2017 to present. During this time, they focused on promoting concepts of freedom, self-efficacy, self-actualization, and human dignity, particularly for marginalized groups. Dr. Nathaniel also presented at the Existential World Congress in Argentina. Prior to this role, they were the President-elect of the same division and the President of APA Division 32 Society for Humanistic Psychology. In 2014, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Saybrook University. Dr. Nathaniel also served as an Author for University Professors Press starting in 2011. Dr. Granger has been the founder, CEO, pastor, and psychotherapist for Be REAL Ministries, Inc. since 2009. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Pikes Peak Community College since 2004. Dr. Nathaniel briefly worked as a Psychologist Candidate at Neuroscience Associates in 2012. Overall, their work experience encompasses leadership roles, teaching, authorship, and public speaking.

Dr. Nathaniel Granger, Jr. obtained a DEIB Certificate in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a PsyD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensics Psychology from the University of the Rockies from 2007 to 2011. Dr. Nathaniel also holds an MA in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, which they completed from 2001 to 2004. Dr. Granger's educational journey began with a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, which they completed from 1992 to 1996.
