Kathi Avants

Kathi Avants is a seasoned Senior Information Technology Program/Project Manager with extensive experience managing IT projects across various organizations. Currently at American Public Education, Inc. since May 2021, Kathi has previously held similar roles at Gainwell Technologies and the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. Kathi's career began at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where significant contributions were made as a PMO Leader and Information Technology Application Development Manager. Kathi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management from Western Governors University and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems Technology from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Kathi is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
