Michael Binz

Michael Binz is an experienced analytics and finance professional currently serving as the AVP of Analytics & Data Insights at American Public Education, Inc. since September 2021. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Rasmussen University, where responsibilities included developing the University Data Strategy and leading teams in Business Intelligence and Data Insights. With a strong foundation in analytics, Michael has also worked as a Senior Analyst at FV & FMV Valuation, Inc. and Duff & Phelps, specializing in business valuations and asset valuations. Michael began a career in finance at the University of Illinois, where work included maintaining the debt portfolio and analyzing investment projects. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.
