Economic And Policy Research - Clean Water Supply/stormwater Currency at American Rivers

Shanyn Viars possesses extensive experience in economic and policy research, particularly focused on clean water supply and stormwater currency at American Rivers since May 2018. Shanyn actively works to protect and restore the natural hydrology of America’s rivers while designing market-based solutions for sustainable water infrastructure in Great Lakes cities. Previous positions include serving as an adjunct professor of microeconomics at Grand Valley State University, where Shanyn developed engaging lesson plans and fostered critical thinking among students. Additional experience includes roles as a SELR Analyst at Garretson Resolution Group, IT Help Desk Coordinator at Corning Community College, and Database Administrator at The CBORD Group, Inc. Shanyn holds a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Corning Community College.
