Director Learning Innovations at American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Kellie Beumer has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Kellie is currently the Director of Learning Innovations at the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) since 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant for E-Learning Strategy and Instructional Design at Be-Learning LLC starting from 2010. From 2006 to 2010, Kellie served as the Distance Education Manager at the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Kellie also worked as an Instructional Designer at AHIMA from 2004 to 2006 and as a Production Editor at Kaplan Professional from 2002 to 2004. Kellie's career started as a Forensic Scientist and DNA Database Analyst at the Indiana State Police Crime Lab from 1998 to 2002. Before that, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Indiana Technology Learning Center from 1997 to 2000.

Kellie Beumer obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Chemistry from Butler University, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000. In 2004, they pursued further education, earning a Certificate in Instructional Technology from San Diego State University. That same year, Kellie also obtained two additional certificates from the University of Chicago, one in Medical Editing and another in the Chicago Manual of Style. Currently, they are enrolled at the University of Southern Indiana, where they are working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Data Analytics. This program started in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
