Editor & Communications Director For LA Report Card On Infrastructure at American Society of Civil Engineers

Nedra Hains has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Student Worker at Hill Memorial Library in 1992. Nedra then worked as a Graduate Student and Student Worker in Engineering at LSU from 1994 to 1997. Following this, they served as a Research Associate at Louisiana State University until 2008. In 1997, they also began working as a Consultant at Beltanesun Works until 2008. Moving forward, they worked as a Development at Forum 35 from 2005 to 2008. Nedra then held roles at the Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration, Atkins, Chenier Plain Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority, and Louisiana Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Currently, they are the Deputy Director at LSU Museum of Art, where they have served in various capacities since 2010.

Nedra Hains completed their B.A. in Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology, and Spanish at Louisiana State University in 1994. Nedra then pursued their M.A. in Cultural Anthropology at the same university, graduating in 1997. Following this, they furthered their education by earning a Doctor of Design (DDes) in Cultural Preservation from Louisiana State University in 2024. Additionally, they obtained certifications in cybersecurity, data science, and research ethics throughout their academic journey.
