Kasey Thompson

Kasey Thompson started their work experience at ASHP in 2000 as the Director of the Center on Patient Safety. Kasey then became the Director of the Practice Standards Division in 2003. In 2009, they were promoted to Vice President of the Office of Policy, Planning and Communications. Finally, in 2016, Kasey Thompson became the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of the same department at ASHP.

Kasey Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology (Cellular Emphasis) from Northeastern State University from 1989 to 1995. Following this, Kasey pursued education in the field of pharmacy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Pharmacy from 1995 to 1998. They furthered their education at the same institution and received a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from 1995 to 1999. In 2008, Kasey enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Technology (Informatics), which they completed in 2012. Lastly, in 2013 and 2014, Kasey acquired a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
