Mahen Gunawardena

Mahen Gunawardena, PMP®, serves as the Innovation Lead at American Standard Brands since October 2014, driving consumer research initiatives to develop innovative sensor-based connected products. Prior expertise includes consultancy at Mitisa LLC for the medical devices and CPG industries and various electrical engineering roles at notable companies including Motorola Solutions, Delphi Automotive Systems, and GE Healthcare. Mahen has extensive experience in product development, electrical design, and embedded systems, along with a solid foundation in software development from roles at Ontario Systems Corporation and IBM. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Ball State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Firmware Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
