Dana Karkoutli is currently serving as the D4 Representative for the LSU Chapter of the American Student Dental Association since July 2023 and has been a Student Dentist at LSUHSC School of Dentistry since July 2020. Dana's experience includes conducting summer research focused on experimental antifungal denture base materials and antibacterial dental composites. In April 2022, Dana became a Fellow for Life with The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, working on the "Oral Care for Molar Bear" project to enhance oral health in the special needs community of Greater New Orleans. Additionally, Dana participated in the Louisiana LEND program as a scholar, developed a learning service project for families with children with Autism, and held leadership roles within the American Student Dental Association. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree expected in May 2024 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans acquired in May 2020.
