Jisu Kim

Jisu Kim is a seasoned freelance Korean interpreter and translator with over 15 years of experience, currently based in the Bay Area after a tenure in New York. Jisu has collaborated with a diverse array of clients in sectors such as media, technology, finance, law, and education, with notable projects for major organizations including Netflix, CNN, and Google. Additionally, Jisu served as a substitute teacher at Silicon Valley International School from 2014 to 2023, teaching various subjects and providing administrative support. Prior experience as a Korean linguist at Netflix involved translating and editing content, as well as developing translation guidelines. Jisu holds a Master’s Degree in Cinema Studies & Applied Linguistics from New York University and a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Ewha Womans University.
