Ron Snead

Ron Snead has over three decades of experience in the electric transmission and distribution industry. At American Transmission Co. since August 2012, Ron holds the position of Chief of Staff and previously served as Vice President of System Planning, managing an engineering team focused on modeling the transmission system and conducting reliability studies. Prior to this, Ron worked at Duke Energy Corporation from March 1986 to August 2012 as Vice President, overseeing transmission and distribution planning and asset management. Ron began their career at American Electric Power as an Associate Engineer from June 1980 to March 1986. Ron earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
