John Garbot has a comprehensive work experience in the retirement benefit consulting industry. John is currently serving as the Director of Client Services at American Trust since 2022. Before that, they worked at LT Trust, a Division of American Trust, as the Director of Record Keeping Services from 2013 to 2022. In 2012, John founded and served as the Director of Retirement Benefit Consulting at Leaders in Retirement Benefit Consulting in the Greater Chicago Area. Prior to that, they were the Director at Verisight, Inc, from 2011 to 2012, where they developed and implemented standardized work products for higher profile clients. John joined McGladrey in 2005 as the Director of Human Capital Services after American Express Tax & Business Services was purchased. At American Express Tax & Business Services, where they worked from 1999 to 2004, they held the position of Senior Manager, providing strategic leadership and service to clients. John started their career at Engler Zoghlin Mann, Ltd. in 1988 as a Plan Administrator. Overall, John Garbot has gained extensive experience in various roles within the retirement benefit consulting field.
John Garbot, ERPA, QPA received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from Illinois State University. John completed their undergraduate studies from 1983 to 1987.
